Citroen India has announced the opening of bookings for the C3 Aircross, its new midsize SUV. The starting price for the five-seater variant will be Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The C3 Aircross is also available as a seven-seater, adding to its practicality.
The C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2L turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, which generates a maximum power output of 110 PS and a torque of 190 Nm. The SUV comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with the possibility of an automatic unit being added to the lineup later.
With its production facility located in Tamil Nadu, Citroen has ensured that more than 90% of the C3 Aircross’s components are produced locally. The SUV boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.5 kmpl.
In terms of dimensions, the C3 Aircross measures 4,323 mm in length, 1,796 mm in width, and 1,669 mm in height. It has a wheelbase length of 2,671 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. The five-seater variant offers a boot space capacity of 444 litres, while the seven-seater variant, with flat-folding and removable seats, can provide a boot volume of up to 511 litres.
The C3 Aircross comes with a host of features, including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, HHA, TPMS, reverse parking camera and sensors, rear center armrest (in the five-seater variant), electrically adjustable ORVMs, tilt adjustable steering wheel, manual height adjustment for the driver seat, keyless entry, halogen headlights, LED DRLs, and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The SUV also offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface, a seven-inch digital cluster, four-speaker audio, in-car connected technology, and one-touch auto down for all windows. It will be available in ten color schemes, including single-tone and dual-tone options.
