Kwik Trip, a convenience store chain operating in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, has shared another update on the technical issues it has been experiencing. The company’s Kwik Rewards program remains out of service, but it has restored full access to many of its internal systems.
Although some systems are still down, Kwik Trip expects them to be restored in the coming days. Despite the outage, the company assures its customers that its credit and debit payment systems are secure and unaffected across all of its 800-plus stores.
There is currently no evidence to suggest that any personal or confidential information has been acquired by unauthorized parties. Customers can still make credit and debit card payments without any issues.
Kwik Trip has acknowledged the potential inconvenience caused by the technical difficulties and has assured customers that it will work with them to resolve and correct any late penalties associated with Kwik Rewards. The company is actively collaborating with third-party information security experts to investigate the cause of the technical problems, though no specific details have been disclosed.
The updates regarding the technical issues were communicated through Kwik Trip’s Facebook page and by email to Kwik Rewards members.
