    Man Charges After Altercation at Drive-Thru

    A 43-year-old individual from Kingston is facing multiple charges following an aggressive incident at a drive-thru in the west-end of the city. The altercation took place on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at approximately 2:15 p.m. near Cataraqui Woods Drive and Gardiners Road.

    According to Kingston Police, the accused, who was on foot, approached a person waiting in their car at the drive-thru line. Holding a stick, the accused directed obscenities at the victim before striking the vehicle multiple times and deflating one of the tires by removing the valve stem cap.

    Another individual in line attempted to intervene verbally, but became a target as well. The accused assaulted the second victim with the stick and damaged their vehicle in a similar manner. Subsequently, the aggressor fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Gardiners Road.

    The police promptly located the accused, who sought refuge in a nearby store. A pursuit ensued, resulting in the arrest of the accused inside the store. However, during the arrest, the accused resisted the officers’ attempts to take them into custody.
