Cleaning Person
Job description:
We are looking for a Cleaning Person to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building and grounds in a clean and orderly condition.
Responsibilities
• Clean and maintain facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, restroom cleaning, etc.) and other duties as assigned by the director
• Cooperate with library staff and the public
• Follow all health and safety regulations
Requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, do stairs…
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets is beneficial
• Trustworthy and the ability to work independently
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proven working experience as a cleaner beneficial
Hours:
Hours are flexible up to 4 hours/week (mopping needs to be done when the library is closed – prior to 9 AM or after 6 PM)
