Human Resources Generalist
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase and retention. Ensure workplace concerns are being handled effectively, appropriately and timely. Advise employees on company policies and procedures.
Maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Maintain personnel files in a union setting.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures.
Schedule and assist with conducting external recruitment interviews and process; coordinate new hire orientations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or three (3) or more years of experience in human resources.
Must have experience working in a Union environment.
Payroll experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
