FLOOD WARNING Issued for Oconto and Shawano Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Oconto river, near Gillett, affecting Oconto and Shawano counties.

The warning stated:

“An ice jam will cause water to fluctuate around flood stage over the next day or two.” Minor flooding is possible over the next day or two as the river fluctuates around flood stage.”

At 10:00am on Friday, February 21, 2020 the stage was at 7.3 feet. The Flood Stage is 7.5 feet.

The Flood Warning will remain in effect until further notice.
