After two failed attempts Gillett finally passes School Referendum

On November 6, 2018 residents of the Gillett School District approved a referendum to raise $1.8 million in property taxes over the next three years.

This was the third referendum the Gillett School District has had in the past 2 1/2 years, two of which failed to pass in 2016.

The referendum is needed to cover a shortfall in funding due to the low revenue limit and to maintain current educational programming and student opportunities. In a community survey conducted in April 2018, the majority of residents supported a referendum to maintain current programs and services for the next three years.” - Posted by the Gillett School Districts Website
