Kenny Williams, Former Chicago White Sox Executive, Puts Gold Coast Condo Up for Sale

Kenny Williams, former executive of the Chicago White Sox, has listed his condo for sale in the Gold Coast neighborhood less than a month after being fired from his position. The three-bedroom, 3,230-square-foot condo in Park Tower is being offered for $2.95 million.

Williams, a former outfielder and general manager of the White Sox, served as the team’s executive vice president from October 2012 until his dismissal in August 2023. He is selling the property alongside his wife, Zoraida Sambolin, a former news anchor.

The condominium, located near Jane Byrne Park and the historic Water Tower, was purchased by the couple in March 2021 for $1.85 million. Since then, they have made extensive improvements to the property, including new flooring, a renovated kitchen, and updated bathroom fixtures.

Real estate agent Phil Skowron of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate is representing the property. Skowron has not yet commented on the listing.

The condo features an east-facing balcony with views of Lake Michigan and neighboring skyscrapers. It offers a contemporary aesthetic with wide-plank hardwood floors, a black fireplace wall, and polished nickel fixtures in the bathroom.

Williams has a long history with the White Sox, starting as a player in 1982 and then moving on to various executive positions within the organization. Sambolin also had a successful career in the media, working for NBC 5 Chicago and CNN.

The couple’s asking price represents a $1.1 million increase from their purchase price in 2021. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to make a profit from the sale.
