    Most Expensive Real Estate Sales in Lorain County

    The real estate market in Lorain County, Ohio has been buzzing with activity, as evidenced by the recent sale of a house in Avon Lake for a whopping $1.5 million. This sale tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in the county for the past week.

    In total, there were 95 residential real estate sales recorded in the area during the week of August 21, with an average price of $274,601. The average price per square foot was $168.

    Taking the tenth spot on the list is a detached house located at 33640 Brokaw Road in Eaton Township, which sold for $489,500. The new owners took over the 2,034 square-foot house in August. Moving up the ranks, a single-family residence at 350 Greenbriar Drive in Avon Lake sold for $490,000. This house, built in 1981, spans 2,578 square feet.

    Next on the list is a single-family home at 32820 Sorrento Lane in Avon Lake, which sold for $500,000. This 2,469 square-foot house was built in 2004. The fourth spot is occupied by a single-family house at 3109 River Run in Avon, which sold for $515,000. This house, built in 2003, has a living area of 2,644 square feet.

    Moving into the top three, a condominium at 471 Bay Hill Drive in Avon Lake sold for $537,000, while a similar condominium at 586 Bay Hill Drive sold for $540,000. These properties offer 2,252 square feet and 2,290 square feet of living space, respectively.

    Claiming the fourth spot is a single-family home at 35336 Saddle Creek in Avon, which sold for $545,000. This 2,552 square-foot house was built in 2006. The property at 368 Cascade Court in Avon Lake takes the third spot, selling for $580,000. This house, built in 2002, has a living area of 2,592 square feet.

    The second most expensive sale on the list is a detached house at 36895 Harriman Trail in Avon, which sold for $1.1 million. This 4,181 square-foot house was built in 1998. Finally, the top spot goes to a single-family house at 31740 Lake Road in Avon Lake, which sold for a staggering $1.5 million. This 3,710 square-foot house, built in 2014, broke the record for the highest-priced residential real estate sale in the county.
