A new student residence has opened in Madrid, coinciding with the start of the new academic year. The residence, promoted by Grupo Moraval and the Swedish fund EQT, is located on Cristo de la Guía street in the Vicálvaro area, near the campuses of the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. With a total of 184 beds, this residence is the second to be inaugurated as part of the joint venture between the Spanish promoter group and the Swedish fund, following the one opened last year in Seville.
Managed by the operator Nodis, the new residence, like the one in Seville, offers a wide range of common facilities, including work rooms, private event rooms, terraces, recreational areas, and a gym. In addition, it provides services such as a dining hall, parking, laundry facilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, and access control.
Regarding accommodation, different types of rooms are offered, ranging from single studios to shared apartments with two or three rooms. All rooms have a kitchen, bathroom, and workspace, and some even have a terrace. Prices vary from 500 to 1,000 euros per month, depending on the type of room.
The promoters of this residence assure that the entire building meets high standards of energy efficiency and digitalization. It is equipped with smart home systems and partially operates on solar energy to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
It is important to highlight that two of the residences operated by Nodis, located in Seville and Zaragoza, have obtained LEED Gold certification, which is awarded by the US Green Building Council to properties that meet the highest sustainability standards. These residences, along with another one in Turkey, are currently the only ones in Europe with this certification.
