Infosys, the leading Indian IT company, has been recognized as one of the top 100 companies in the world by TIME Magazine and data platform Statista. With an overall score of 88.38 out of 100, Infosys secured the 64th position on the prestigious list. Microsoft, Apple, and Alphabet (the parent company of Google) claimed the top three spots.
The rankings were determined based on a combination of factors, including revenue growth, employee satisfaction surveys, and sustainability data. Infosys excelled in the area of growth rate and emerged as one of the top three professional services companies globally. Its sustainability rank stood at 135th, while its employee satisfaction rank was 103rd.
In addition to Infosys, seven other Indian companies made it to the list of 750 companies. Wipro, another IT major, secured the 174th position, followed by the Mahindra Group at 210th rank. Reliance Industries, HCL Technologies, HDFC Bank, WNS Global Services, and ITC were also included in the rankings.
Microsoft, as the top-ranked company, showcased impressive performance in its most recent fiscal year, achieving a 63% increase in revenue and reducing overall emissions by 0.5%. The company also emphasized pay equity, with ethnic minority and women employees in the U.S. earning higher average salaries than their male counterparts.
CEO Satya Nadella, in an interview with TIME Magazine, highlighted Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more.
